Well, I have to say that I think this is a blog that does me more good than it does you. I’m on, hopefully, the last day of having stents in my nose for nasal surgery that was performed one week ago. I’ve had my share of panic attacks over the past 72 hours and this blog has been a good diversion from the things stuck up my nose!
Today, I bring to you a quilt that the phenomenally talented Maureen Wood pieced, called “Luminosity” by Jacqueline De Jonge. Maureen, from Canada, is a certified instructor for both Jacqueline De Jonge (BeColourful) and Judy Neimeyer (Quiltworx).
Maureen will be teaching classes on this quilt here shortly, so now is as good a time as ever to share the beautiful results of this custom hand-guided and ruler work quilting:
This was quilted with two layers of Quilters Dream batting…blend on the bottom and wool on the top with Glide 40 weight thread.
And, here it is in a little more detail:If you are looking to be added to my 2019 schedule, please know that we are currently booked through October, 2019. If you’d like to get in for the tail end of the year, sign up now! Bookings are going very quickly 🙂
I thank Maureen for this opportunity to quilt for her and I thank each of you who has made 2019 a banner year thus far.
I also wanted to take this time to introduce you all to my sold-only-in-the-USA luxury soap company! I handcraft these soaps with love and care to create a truly special luxury soap line, along with a solid block dish soap line, a shave soap line for both men and women and a scrubbing soap line. I offer gorgeous customized gift box options, making my products a wonderful gift option. Check out my website! www.soapworksfactory.com
Take care and I hope you get a little chance to be creative today!
